Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Replied | Women Wearing White | State Of The Union White – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, an American politician and activist, member of the Democratic Party replied to a tweet by a Journal columnist who said that the congresswoman looked “sullen” during President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Replied:
“We are born free, and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country,” President Donald Trump said in his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening, drawing boos and chants of “USA” from GOP lawmakers in the House chamber.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, youngest woman ever elected to Congress, called Trump’s speech “unsettling” and said the president didn’t offer “any plan” for the nation’s future. She said, “I think it was great. I think he’s scared. … He sees that everything is closing in on him. And he knows he’s losing the battle of public opinion when it comes to the actual substantive proposals that we’re advancing to the public,”.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, “Why should I be “spirited and warm” for this embarrassment of a #SOTU?… Tonight was an unsettling night for our country. The president failed to offer any plan, any vision at all, for our future. … We’re flying without a pilot. And I‘m not here to comfort anyone about that fact.”
Writer Peggy Noonan replied Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., “had a rare bad night, looking not spirited, warm and original as usual but sullen, teenaged and at a loss.” The New York congresswoman replied to the tweet saying, “Why should I be ‘spirited and warm’ for this embarrassment of a #SOTU?”
