According to an announcement from the Recording Academy on Thursday, the multi-platinum, history-making Grammy winner Alicia Keys will return as host of the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Jan. 26.
Last year, Alicia Keys became the first woman to host the awards in 14 years.
Alicia Keys is one of only five women who have hosted the Grammy Awards show throughout its 62-year-run, following fellow entertainers Queen Latifah in 2005, Rosie O’Donnell in 2000 and 1999, Ellen DeGeneres in 1997 and 1996, and Whoopi Goldberg in 1992.
Keys said in a statement via Good Morning America, “At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host.”
The statement added, “Last year was such a powerful experience for me. Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music.”
Keys tied the knot with hip hop artist-producer Swizz Beatz and the the couple have two sons.

The 62nd Annual Grammy awards — hosted by Alicia Keys, will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at the Staples Center.
The show will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will be held at the Microsoft Theater at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT.
