China apply Robots to Manufacture Cars: China will plan to change thoughts in manufacturing filed by gearing up to build vehicles at a new factory with robots and workforce of 1,800 people. The 12 billion yuan ($1.89 billion) investment, plant manager Tong Xiangbei interested to set up high tech revolution in the field of car manufacturing in remote areas like Zhangjiakou, a city of four million people in Hebei province and far from many of Geely’s parts makers.
Central to Mr. Xi’s plan is that it will allow foreign automakers to own Chinese factories. But auto executives in Beijing said they were comfortable with the current system.
“It would be crazy to think you can do it all yourself, in a market that is so different,” said Trevor Worthington, Ford’s vice president for product development in Asia and the Pacific.
