Dolly Parton Grammys 2019 – Dolly Parton is the Grammys 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year, in honor of her philanthropy, charity work.
Dolly Parton Grammys 2019:
“It’s been such a thrill for me tonight to see all these great artists that are singing songs that I’ve written or been a part of,” she said. “Watching them is sort of like watching porn — you’re not personally involved, but you still get off on it.” and added, “At my age, you take anything you can get,”
Dolly Parton said, “We thought maybe it might do good in our county, and maybe a couple counties over,” she said. “But now, we’re all over the world, and we’ve given 100 million books away. I’m as proud of that, as anything I’ve ever done.”
And she’s also proud of her peerless wardrobe, on display at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. “I love being flashy,” she said of her trademark costumes. “I love kinda showing the parts of me that I’ve become famous for, and I try to do it in as good a taste as I can!”

Dolly Parton said, “I truly am honored to be the MusiCares Person of the Year, and the first country artist to be honored. That’s right — because you know, we hillbillies, we need music-care too!” she said. “We may not have sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll, but two out of the three ain’t bad.” and added, “But I really am feeling the love in this house tonight. Either that, or my telephone’s on vibrate.”
