Kristin Smart’s mother, Denise Smart, was contacted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and was told to “be ready” for unexpected news about Kristin Smart.
An FBI agent told Kristin Smart’s mother, “This is really going to be something you don’t expect. We want to give you the support you need.”
The FBI also suggested Denise Smart that she should secure a family spokesperson and the family “might want to get away for a while,” Smart said. What the FBI didn’t tell mom of Kristin Smart is when this development might be announced.
Kristin Smart Was Last Seen:
Kristin Smart, who was a 19-year-old freshman at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo at that time, and was last seen in the early morning of May 25, 1996, while returning to her dorm after a party near the campus.
According to the FBI, Stockton woman Kristin Smart was last seen alive around 2 am on May 25, 1996, by a fellow student, Paul Flores.
Kristin Smart was accompanied by three fellow students. Two peeled off before reaching her dorm, walking back to their own residences. The third, Paul Flores, later told cops he dropped her off on campus at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Perimeter Road in San Luis Obispo.
Kristin Smart was never seen again, Kristin Smart’s disappearance remained a tragic mystery for 23 years.
