Grimes Reveals New Adorable Nickname For Her And Elon Musk’s Newborn Son After Name Change | Grimes’ “Little X”:
Grimes and Elon Musk’s 3-week-old son, X Æ A-Xii, might have an unusual name but the infant’s nickname is much simpler than his birth name, which Grimes and Musk have broken down.
The “Genesis” singer, Grimes, 32, revealed in a recent interview with Bloomberg that she calls the baby “Little X” for short.
On Monday, May 4, the Canadian artist, Grimes, and the SpaceX billonaire, Elon Musk, welcomed their baby into the world, announcing via Twitter that their son had an unconventional name — X Æ A-12.
But in the time since, the couple were forced to legally change Little X’s name.
On Sunday, 32-year-old new mom took to Instagram where she revealed the revamped, but equally bizarre new name to be X Æ A-Xii.

After changing the newborn’s name, Grimes also took to Instagram and said having it in Roman numerals “looks better tbh.”
A snap of Little X’s birth certificate, obtained by The Blast on Friday, confirmed the change. The newborn baby son’s legal first name is “X” and his middle name is “Æ A-Xii,” and Musk as his surname – according to the baby’s birth certificate.
“X, the unknown variable,” Grimes explained previously the significance of the moniker on Twitter. “Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent.”
The “Delete Forever” songstress continued, “A=Archangel, my favorite song” with an accompanying a rat and sword emoji. “Metal rat.”
The Tesla CEO, 48, corrected Grimes’ explanation, tweeting on May 6, “SR-71, but yes.” Grimes clapped back, “I am recovering from surgery and barely alive so may my typos b [sic] forgiven but, damnit. That was meant to be profound.”
Elon Musk’s partner Grimes later broke down the pronunciation via Instagram. “It’s just X, like the letter X,” she wrote. “Then A.I. Like how you said the letter A then I.”
