Beverley mocked Durant both with his words and body language in the Clippers vs Warriors Game 1 Saturday.
“You know what he’s going to bring to the table, just the physicality, mucking up the game a little bit with his physicality, his talking, everything. That’s what he brings to each team he plays on. That’s his identity,” Durant said of Beverley. “For me, I know that coming into the series. I thought it was fun tonight.”
Los Angeles Clippers’ player Patrick Beverley answered, “I got pushed, I got up and I got ejected. I guess the refs, I guess he saw something that I don’t know. But that’s all right. I give them a lot of credit.”
“I guess he thought we were taking it too far,” Durant said of Malloy. “I just thought it was one of those plays where I could show a little bit more emotion than I usually show.”
“That’s what Beverley does,” Kerr added. “We talked about it for the last couple of days. He’s a hell of a defender. He plays hard. Got a lot of respect for him.”
“You have to ask the MVP of tonight, [Marat] Kogut,” Curry said as he departed his postgame press conference, still visibly frustrated.
