Judi Evans Has Contracted COVID-19 And Nearly Had Both Legs Amputated – After suffering multiple broken bones in a recent horseback riding accident, “Days of our Lives” star Judi Evans (Adrienne Kiriakis) has now been diagnosed with COVID-19 and nearly had both of her legs amputated.

Judi Evans Has Contracted COVID-19 And Nearly Had Both Legs Amputated:

Judi Evans, 55, who is known for her role as Adrienne Kiriakis on the long-running soap show, has contracted COVID-19 while recovering in the hospital following a horse accident last month.

According to a representative for the actress, Evans is still in the hospital 23 days since falling off of her horse and breaking many bones and some ribs.

Judi Evans, who has portrayed both Adrienne Kiriakis and Bonnie Lockhart on the NBC soap, took a fall from her horse while out riding in Los Angeles and was hospitalized for serious injuries associated with the fall.

Judi suffered a broken collarbone, seven broken ribs, two chipped vertebra.

After her hospitalization, it was revealed that Judi also had a pulmonary embolism, or blood clot in her lungs. This is, of course, a very serious condition that can lead to sudden death, so it was something that Judi Evans’ treatment team was taking seriously.

Judi Evans Nearly Needed Both Legs Amputated:

Judi’s representative Howie Simon has recently informed Judi’s fans with a briefing on Facebook with some further updates about Judi’s condition, and things sound like they are remaining serious, as he reported that Judi contracted COVID-19 while she was in the hospital and said doctors found COVID-related blood clots in her legs and both legs were nearly amputated on two separate occasions.

“I spoke to Judi on Sunday and she is STILL in the hospital – 23 days now and counting,” her rep Howie Simon said in a post on Facebook.

“She contracted COVID-19 while there and she had what is known as the COVID blood clots in her legs and she nearly had both legs amputated on two different occasions.”

“She had mild symptoms – fever, aches, a cough and the blood clots.”

Mr. Simon reported that a serious error made surgery Evans had even more painful — unnecessarily so.

“On top of everything, when she went into surgery on one of her legs, they forgot to numb the leg and cut into her leg while she was fully conscience with no numbing of the area!”

“However speaking to her on Sunday, she was in good spirits and back to Judi ‘humor’ despite all these spiraling turn of events. She has said she appreciates all the prayers for her and they’ve helped her mentally, physically and spiritually!” the rep said. “She just wants to continue to test negative on COVID19 before she can go home and get the rest she so needs!!!”
