Samantha Ware had a guest recurring role as Jane Hayward in the sixth season of “Glee” in 2015, appearing in 11 episodes, while Lea Michele played Rachel Berry, one of the main cast members throughout all six seasons of “Glee.”
Users, who initially thanked Michele for speaking up in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, have expressed a different opinion after Ware shed light on the alleged disturbing and bizarre action, she was subjected to from Michele’s end when they were working together and fans and celebrities alike flocked to the thread to support Samantha Marie Ware and express their disgust over the situation.
As the controversial tweet quickly went viral, notching nearly 60,000 likes and counting, another former Glee actor Alex Newell chimed in on the conversation. Alex Newell, who played Wade ‘Unique’ Adams on Ryan Murphy’s series between 2012 and 2015, replied to Samantha Ware’s tweet with a classic gif of RuPaul looking very interested, and Amber Riley (Mercedes) tweeted this gif shortly thereafter.
Alex Newell wrote: “Child we ain’t got not a damn thing to lie about 6 years later!”
Popular drag queen and actor Willam Belli also weighed in, saying, “Lea treated me so subhuman i left the set of Glee. Pass the [popcorn emoji]”
“If I’d complained about anyone or anything, she’d assumed I was bitching about her,” another former Glee star, Naya Rivera, previously wrote about their rumored feud in her 2016 memoir Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up. “Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually it got to the point where she didn’t say a word to me for all of Season 6. Lea and I definitely weren’t the best of friends, and I doubt we’ll ever sit on her couch and eat kale together again.”
Thousands of online users responded and shared Ware’s tweet calling out Michele, 33, for her “sh*t in my wig” remark, with one of the tweets stating “why did you say you would shit in a black woman’s wig? you’re going to hell.”
