Macaulay Culkin And Brenda Song Quietly Welcome Their First Baby – Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song won’t be living “Home Alone” anymore — because they’re now the parents of a baby boy!
Macaulay Culkin And Brenda Song Quietly Welcome Their First Baby:
Disney Channel alum Brenda Song and boyfriend Macaulay Culkin proudly announced the arrival of their son, Dakota Song Culkin, in Esquire this morning. Their firstborn came into the world on April 5, at 1:10 p.m., in Los Angeles.
“We are overjoyed,” Culkin and Song said in a statement, with a press release adding that the new parents and baby Dakota are happy and healthy.
Baby Dakota weighed in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and is named in honor of Culkin’s late sister Dakota, who died in 2008 at age 29 from injuries sustained after being struck by a car.
Last February, Culkin spoke to Esquire about his desire to have a family with Song, his girlfriend of four years.
“We practice a lot,” the 40-year-old actor quipped. “We’re figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, ‘Honey, I’m ovulating.’”
Macaulay Culkin Is A Dad, Welcomes Baby Boy With Brenda Song:
The two stars first sparked romance rumors in 2017. While they’ve managed to keep their romance mostly out of the spotlight, they have made some appearances on each other’s social media over the years.
In 2018, Culkin mentioned wanting to start a family with Song soon. “This one’s a good one, so I’m probably going to put some babies in her in a little bit,” he shared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. “I mean, we’ve definitely been practicing.”
Two years later, the Disney Channel alum did not hide her affections for the former child star when she paid tribute to Culkin—or as she put it, a “magical being”—on his 40th birthday.
“I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you,” she penned in an August 2020 Instagram post. “But firstly, that would take me an eternity and secondly, you won’t even see this because you don’t ever use instagram. Hahaha. My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you.”
Culkin and Song, 33, are also proud pet parents to multiple animals, including two cats, a fish, a dog and a bird.
Song, who has appeared in “The Social Network” and the ABC TV drama, “Station 19,” previously gushed to Esquire about her relationship with Culkin.
“You can’t be around him and not be happy,” she said.
Prior to his romance with Song, Culkin dated Mila Kunis for eight years before their relationship ended in 2011.
Culkin also married actress Rachel Miner in 1998 but the pair separated two years later.
Culkin isn’t the only first-time dad in his family. In September 2019, brother Kieran Culkin, who plays Roman Roy on HBO’s “Succession,” welcomed a baby with his wife Jazz Charton.
