Benny Garcia’s son told his teacher that when he put the white powder, suspected to be either cocaine or heroin, in his mouth, it makes him “feel like Spider-Man.”
Benny Garcia’s child brought a bag of the powdery substance to his Massachusetts kindergarten class on Thursday.
Prosecutors said that the younger child put some of the powder in his mouth and said the powder turns him into the popular superhero whose image was stamped on the plastic bag.
The kindergarten student told teacher he got it from his living room.
The Lawrence Elementary School teacher notified the school principal of the incident, and police were immediately called.

The 5-year-old was taken to the hospital after ingesting cocaine, authorities don’t believe the boy had ingested the drug.
The boy is OK, Assistant District Attorney Matthew Green said in court.
After police got permission from the 5-year-old boy’s mother to search the family’s apartment, police allegedly found Benny Garcia sleeping and 38 clear plastic bags containing cocaine, along with two bags of heroine.
They also found more than 170 bags of heroin, some of which were stamped with the Spider-Man logo, same as the one the boy had at school.
Benny Garcia, who will face charges of drug possession and reckless endangerment of a child.
Garcia is being held in custody without bail until his next court appearance on Wednesday.
