Neil Diamond cozied up to his fireplace at home with an acoustic guitar and performed a rendition of his hit “Sweet Caroline“ late Saturday night.
Neil Diamond shared a video of him playing the guitar and singing the new version of the song “Sweet Caroline“ to Twitter late Saturday night (March 21), with the caption: “Stay safe out there! ‘Hands… washing hands…’”
Neil Diamond said before launching into the acoustic rendition of Sweet Caroline, “I know we’re going through a rough time right now, but I love ya, and I think maybe if we sing together, we’ll feel just a little bit better. Give it a try, okay?”
Diamond then sings the opening verse of “Sweet Caroline”, with the revised chorus: “Hands, washing hands, reaching out, don’t touch me, I won’t touch you.”

Embattled opera singer Plácido Domingo, who has been accused of sexual harassment by more than 20 women, said Sunday that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
On Sunday, the 79-year-old Spanish tenor Placido Domingo told fans it was his “moral duty” to share his coronavirus diagnosis, “I feel it is my moral duty to announce to you that I have tested positive for COVID19, the Coronavirus.”
Spanish singer Plácido Domingo, 79, wrote on Facebook Sunday morning.
“My Family and I are all in self isolation for as long as it is deemed medically necessary. Currently we are all in good health but I experienced fever and cough symptoms therefore deciding to get tested and the result came back positive.”
“I beg everyone to be extremely careful, follow the basic guidelines by washing your hands frequently, keeping at least a 6 feet distance from others, doing everything you can to stop the virus from spreading and please above all stay home if you can ! Together we can fight this virus and stop the current worldwide crisis, so we can hopefully return to our normal daily lives very soon.
