Nanny McPhee child actor Raphael Coleman, who had devoted his life to activism in more recent years, as a member of Extinction Rebellion, has died, aged 25.
Raphael Coleman died on Friday while running.
Raphael Coleman’s mum Liz Jensen confirmed his death in a statement on Twitter on Friday 7 February, saying, “Rest in peace my beloved son Raphael Coleman, aka Iggy Fox. He died doing what he loved, working for the noblest cause of all. His family could not be prouder. Let’s celebrate all he achieved in his short life and cherish his legacy.”
Raphael Coleman‘s stepfather Carsten Jensen wrote on Facebook that he had collapsed unexpectedly while out jogging.

The British actor Raphael Coleman, who was best known for his role as Eric Brown in the 2005 family comedy Nanny McPhee, Coleman starred aged 11 opposite Emma Thompson and Colin Firth in the 2005 family comedy.
Raphael Coleman had subsequent roles in films such as It’s Alive, Edward’s Turmoil and The Fourth Kind.
Raphael Coleman then studied zoology before dedicating himself to activism, working with the environmental movement Extinction Rebellion to advocate for wildlife conservation.
According to Raphael Coleman’s stepfather Carsten Jensen, he spent a year in a jungle in Costa Rica, and six months in Indonesia, before joining Extinction Rebellion.
Raphael Coleman also worked as a video recorder and on its social media channels for joining Extinction Rebellion. It was then joining Extinction Rebellion assumed the name James “Iggy” Fox.
Last August, Raphael Coleman was taken into custody at a protest outside the Brazilian embassy.
