Bad Azz, whose real name is Jamaar Antonio Stamps, was the rapper and member of the Dogg Pound, died Monday while being held in custody at a detention center in Riverside, CA on a domestic violence charge. He was 43.
Bad Azz’s cause of death has not been revealed.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Bad Azz had been arrested and picked up Fridayon the charge of domestic violence four days before his death, Friday.
Rapper Bad Azz had an upcoming court date Tuesday, on November 13.
Bad Azz’s bail was set at just $10,000 but he had not been bonded out.
Rapper Bad Azz popularly known for his work with Snoop Dogg, he also worked with the late Tupac Shakur, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, Bizzy Bone, Warren G, Kurupt, MC Eight and Mistah F.A.B.
Bad Azz’s first solo album, “Word On Tha Streets,” was released in 1998.
