Rapper Hurricane Chris Arrested For Murder In Louisiana – Louisiana rapper Hurricane Chris has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting a man outside of a Shreveport convenience store early Friday morning.

“A Bay Bay” rapper Hurricane Chris, whose real name is Christopher Dooley, was charged with one count of second degree murder in a shooting and illegal possession of stolen things in his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana.
The Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit told local outlet that the 31-year-old hip-hop star Hurricane Chris was arrested Friday morning and charged with one count of second degree murder in a shooting that took place shortly after 1 a.m. at the Texaco in the 2600 block of Hollywood Ave.
Police were called to the intersection of Hollywood and Hearne Avenue around 1 a.m. Friday.
When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot multiple times. He was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Hurricane Chris Arrested And Charged With Second Degree Murder And Illegal Possession Of Stolen Things:
Christopher Dooley claimed he killed a man in self-defense, after an alleged struggle over his vehicle. Dooley reportedly told police he shot the man around 1 a.m. outside a Texaco convenience store because he thought the man was trying to steal his vehicle.
Investigators also learned that the vehicle did not belong to Dooley; it was reportedly stolen out of Texas.
Christopher Dooley was also charged with one count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things.
Violent Crimes and Crime Scene investigators secured video footage, which also led detectives to believe that Christopher Dooley did not act in self-defense.
Christopher Dooley started his career with the 2007 album “51/50 Ratchet,” that reached No. 24 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the rap chart.
Dooley, the godson of former Louisiana state Rep. Barbara Norton, is a rapper best known for his first single, the 2007 song “A Bay Bay,” which was also his biggest hit, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on its rap chart and was certified platinum.
Christopher Dooley, known as “Hurricane Chris” released a second album, “Unleashed,” two years later, the album included the hit “Halle Berry (She’s Fine),” which reached No. 7 on Billboard’s rap chart. He released mixtape, “King Cane,” in March of 2017.
Hurricane Chris’ most recent single, “How I Feel,” was released in 2019.
Identity of the victim has not been revealed.
