Richard McGuire, 42, from Mobile, Alabama was arrested on April 30 after he was allegedly caught camping out by Disney World security.
Walt Disney World is closed to the public because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Richard Mcguire, who had been sleeping inside one of the buildings on the island, told police he was unaware that he was trespassing when he was on the property, while describing the island as a “tropical paradise.”
Richard Mcguire was charged with one misdemeanor count of trespassing and banned from Disney properties after he was spotted in one of original buildings on the island, by security.

Orange County deputies searched by foot, boat and helicopter until they found 42-year-old Richard McGuire, deputies used a loudspeaker system to grab McGuire’s attention as he was sleeping inside one of the buildings surroundings of Walt Disney World’s Discovery Island.
Disney’s Discovery Island, which is located in Disney World’s Bay Lake, opened to the public as “Treasure Island” in 1974, but closed in 1999.
Richard McGuire told authorities he’d been there since Monday or Tuesday and planned on staying about a week, but now he was banned from all Disney properties and charged with a misdemeanor for trespassing.
