The Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, 55, shared a sweet tribute to husband Matthew Broderick, 58, in honor of the couple’s 23rd year of matrimony on Tuesday, posting a beautiful throwback photo of them on her Instagram.
“May 19th, 2020. 23 years. We’ve come a long way baby. X, SJ,” Sarah Jessica Parker, 55, wrote in the caption next to the candid black-and-white picture of the pair.
Parker and Broderick got married in 1997 in a ceremony in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, officiated by Broderick’s sister Janet Broderick Kraft, and the two have welcomed three children – son James Wilkie, 17, and ten-year-old twins Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, who were born via surrogate in 2009.

More recently, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were slated to return to Broadway in the revival of Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite, but production for the show put on hold earlier this year when Broadway went dark due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
It was recently reported that the play has unfortunately been delayed until March of 2021 – as of now, Broadway theaters are not set to reopen until after the summer, at the earliest.
“We remain deeply committed to bringing Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite to New York as promised and cannot wait to help welcome audiences back to our beloved Broadway. Until then, everybody please stay safe,” the acting couple said in a statement.
“We haven’t been bingeing as much I guess as we hear tell,” Sarah Jessica Parker admitted in March that they have not been watching a lot of television shows despite social distancing at home during Rosie O’Donnell’s livestream fundraiser for The Actor Fund. “We’ve been playing a lot of games, a lot of cooking, a lot of laundry — bingeing on laundry.”
