Stanley Tucci, who grew up in an Italian-American family, transfixed the internet with his masterclass on the perfect Negroni, which he shared to Instagram on Monday.
In a live tutorial, the Oscar-nominated actor, 59, gave fans a step-by-step tutorial on making a Negroni, an Italian cocktail that involves gin, sweet vermouth and Campari, from his kitchen.
The clip begins with Stanley Tucci’s wife Felicity Blunt – the sister of actress Emily Blunt, asking, “What are you going to make me?” and then Stanley declares, “A Negroni” but needs to get his wine first.
Speaking to the camera as he made the beverage, Stanley Tucci said: “We’re going to have a Negroni up. Mostly people have Negronis on the rocks. But I think actually they’re quite nice up.”

Putting ice into a cocktail shaker, Tucci said, “So, a fair amount of ice in a shaker, and use you hands because it’s the most hygienic way.”
Stanley Tucci then added a double shot of gin and a shot of sweet vermouth, as well as a shot of Campari before shaking the mixture.
“If you don’t like gin you could use vodka, and maybe just lace it with gin on the top just to give it that little bit of flavour if you like,” he said. “A shot of sweet vermouth. Good sweet vermouth.”
After shaking the mixture, Stanley Tucci poured the drink into his vessel of choice: a coupe glass.
“I put it in a coupe, like that, but you can put it in a martini glass, or whatever you want,” Tucci said.
Stanley Tucci then elegantly garnished the drink with orange juice and added a citrus slice to the drink for a glamorous flourish.
“Now, you want to garnish it with a slice of orange. Pre-sliced orange,” he added.
After enjoying a sip of the drink for himself, Stanley Tucci finished the video by passing the coral-colored drink to Blunt, who was manning the camera in front of him.
“That’s good,” he concluded.
Stanley Tucci captioned the video: “Drink up!”
