Hana Kimura, who wrestled for the promotion “Stardom,” was bullied online after an episode of a Netflix reality show, “Terrace House,” in which she lost her temper with one of her castmates.
Following the on-screen incident involving her and other cast members, the fans of the reality show, which airs in Japan, began to harass her.
Netflix reality show, “Terrace House,” portrayed Hana Kimura like a villain, and she received hundreds of hate messages every day, attacking her physical appearance and personality, that apparently led to her severe depression.
In a series of now deleted tweets, Kimura posted some photos of her cutting her arms and she heavily implied that she was going to commit suicide.
Hana Kimura posted alongside tweets saying she got a ton of harassment from the fans of the show every day, attacking her physical appearance. The translated tweets were as followed.
“Nearly 100 frank opinions every day. I couldn’t deny that I was hurt. I’m dead. Thank you for giving me a mother. It was a life I wanted to be loved. Thank you to everyone who supported me. I love it. I’m weak, I’m sorry.”

Wrestler Hana Kimura Was Dealing With Severe Depression | Stardom’s Hana Kimura Dead At The Age Of 22:
The Tokyo-based company, also known by its full name “World Wonder Ring Stardom,” announced on Twitter Friday night that Kimura had passed on May 23 at the age of 22.
The tweet from Stardom reads:
We are very sorry to report that our Hana Kimura has passed away. Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends. We appreciate your support during this difficult time.”
The second generation wrestler Hana Kimura, the daughter of former wrestler Kyoko Kimura, trained at Wrestle-1’s Professional Wrestling University and debuted in March of 2016 at a Wrestle-1 show.
Kimura’s first championship with joshi promotion JWP, where she captured the JWP Junior Championship in September of 2016 and held it until the end of December of that year.
After leaving Wrestle-1 in 2019, Kimura returned to “Stardom” full-time and became the leader of a faction called Tokyo Cyber Squad.
Hana Kimura, who was a two-time Artist of Stardom Champion and a one-time Goddess of Stardom Champion, worked a dark match for “Stardom” at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14, a tag team match in which she and Giulia lost to Mayu Iwatani and Arisa Hoshiki.
Kimura joined the Netflix Japan reality show “Terrace House” late last year.
