Jo Andres was born on May 21, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Jo Andres married with Steve Buscemi in 1987 and share one son together, Lucian, who was born in 1990. Buscemi said his favorite work of art was “probably something by my wife Jo Andres.” and added, “She paints, she makes films, she has done performance.” She had done Masters of Fine Arts in Film, Ohio University, 1984; Teaching Ass’t in Dance, Film, Scholarships and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, Ohio University, 1980; Cum Laude, dance scholarships. She has been an artist in residence at leading universities, museums and art colonies, including Yaddo and The Rockefeller Study Center in Bellagio, Italy.
