Josh Brolin, who played the ultimate supervillain Thanos in the Avengers films, faced backlash after he shared a photo of his family visiting father James Brolin and stepmom, Barbra Streisand.
The 52-year-old actor was criticized after he shared the snap on Instagram in which he was seen visiting his parents’ house along with Kathryn Boyd (his wife) and Westley Reign (their 17 months daughter), despite the self-isolation rules that have been imposed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In the since-deleted snap, the Marvel actor with his wife, Kathryn Boyd, and daughter Westlyn Reign Brolin, 17 months, were hanging poolside in Malibu with his dad James Brolyn and stepmother Barbra Streisand, who are 79 and 77, respectively.
On Saturday (Apr 18), Josh Brolin posted a video in which he “apologized” for his “irresponsible” behavior, saying: “My father lives next door to us and we had a plan to go see them and not be near them and that plan was broken and that is our responsibility.”

“You know, it’s hard to be honest sometimes,” Josh Brolin continued. “It’s hard to be honest and say, ‘Maybe I screwed up,’ and I knew that that was in the air, not because of the responses, but the responses brought me back to my own truth and it’s humbling as hell, man.”
The Deadpool star added: “Because I know there’s some people out there that (have) no masks, no gloves, no interest in it. They think it’s in your head, that you’ll survive because of immunity that’s created from your own psychic weight.”
“But I know for me that’s not the case and we’ve been very responsible and I apologize about that.”
“I do feel responsible to my fellow man, period. So, my apologies. And I am not an advocate of doing anything outside of taking care of each other and making sure we get through this even if we go overboard . We will look back on this as being a short time for a very long term solution and a long life,” Brolin said.
Josh Brolin concluded: “I’m very happy to be reminded as it is extremely important to me and I do care about my fellow men and I am human, unfortunately, so thank you guys, honestly. Everybody stay safe and be well.”

*** I am reminded that it’s you who graced me with the laugh that hurt my heart because it burst and rained on the rest of my life the realization that it would happen again and again until I sank to my knees where you would always be waiting for me looking at me with a slight demand that quietly spoke: “…play” *** Happy Birthday, my Nani Girl. I love you THIS much ❤️❤️❤️❤️ @edenbrolin
