TikTok’s Skating Chill Lord Says He’s Received Over $13K In Donations Since Going Stupid Viral – Nathan Apodaca, or 420doggface208 as he’s known on TikTok, posted the video on Friday. In it, he can be seen gliding on his skateboard down U.S. Highway 20 in Idaho Falls listening to Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.”
TikTok’s Skating Chill Lord Says He’s Received Over $13K In Donations Since Going Stupid Viral:
The rise in popularity is attributed to a relatively smalltime Idaho Falls-based TikTok’er named Nathan Apodaca, who went viral on the platform for a video where he’s seen chugging a litre of Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry while skating around town on his longboard and lip-syncing to “Dreams.”
Apodaca casually sips from an open jug of Ocean Spray cranberry raspberry juice. Halfway through, he turns to the camera and begins lip-syncing to the song.
“Morning vibe,” he captioned it.
Even Fleetwood Mac approved. “We love this!” the band tweeted.
420DoggFace208, aka Nathan Apodaca, aka ultimate chiller, aka Fleetwood Mac‘s biggest fan, has been absolutely inundated with donations since the TikTok of him vibing while skating went bonkers viral.
It’s a mood, and we simply must respect our king.
In the short days since everyone watched him on TikTok just having a really sick time cruising along on his skateboard on the highway, knocking back a bottle of cran-raspberry juice, and singing along to Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams, he’s now apparently amassed over US $10,000 (AU $13,960) in donations from adoring fans.
In an interview with TMZ, the Steady Vibin’ King said donations poured in after viewers learned that he had been living in his RV with no running water. After a few Venmo and Paypal contributions, he was able to park outside his brother’s house in Idaho Falls, but is planning to use the donated money to set up his own place to live.
Nathan Apodaca’s TikTok Video Goes Viral:
So what’s he gonna do with the donations? Apparently, a brand new RV is very much on the cards. It’s what he deserves.
He’s also planning to give about US $5000 (AU $6980) to his mother, has bought his daughter some new clothes, and supplied a new washer and dryer for his partner. We do have to stan a humble king.
So who is Apodaca? Not much is known about our local TikTok star. He lives in Idaho Falls. His first video is of him dancing in front of the water tower. He went to Skyline High School and Idaho State University, according to his Facebook page. He has two daughters to whom he credits with getting him on the app.
The Post Register reached out to Apodaca for an interview but has not heard back. It seems Apodaca has not granted an interview to anyone, despite media outlets like Vogue and Billboard writing about him. He did, however, let fans know how he felt about becoming a viral sensation on, you guessed it, TikTok. He has 1.3 million followers on the app.
“I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart from doggface, me and my family, to all you guys,” he said in the video expressing his incredulity.
In a second video posted Monday, he celebrates reaching 1 million followers by dancing in a tutu with his daughter.
As for why this seemingly simple 22-second video went viral, perhaps it’s not that complicated. With forest fires raging, a pandemic and a looming presidential election, maybe we’re all yearning to get away with a jug of juice in hand.
