Cause Of Yvette Monique Sport Death:
Yvette Monique Sport, 51, died in her room at a resort that is part of a popular hotel chain where the deaths of three other U.S. tourists last month are under investigation. Yvette Monique Sport had a drink from the mini bar in her hotel, went to bed, and died. Dominican Republic Deaths:
Miranda Schaup-Werner of Allentown, Pennsylvania, collapsed on May 25 after consuming a drink from the minibar at the Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville.
On Friday, news broke that Maryland couple Edward Nathaniel Holmes and Cynthia Ann Day were found unresponsive in their room by staff at the Bahía Príncipe hotel at the resort Playa Nueva Romana after they didn’t check out at the expected time. Their deaths were listed as being of respiratory failure and buildup of fluid in the lungs.
“It makes me question at this point is this cause of death even true,” Nieves said.
“I think the State Department needs to step in and investigate these deaths something is not right,” Taltoan said.
Referring to other deaths at hotels in the same chain, Nieves said: “It makes me question at this point is this cause of death even true?”
